Beginning at the tea plantations Starting point, through a short trail, the trek concludes as you are led to the topmost point to witness the most beautiful sunrise as the sun rays fall on a bed of clouds that surround you.
This trek will take you through luscious tea gardens and their heavenly scent elevating your spirits.

TEA PLANTATION WALK

(A guided walking tour covers tea plantations, river, temples, and natural views etc..for 2-3 hours)

About The Tour
This is a village life experience guided tour which is explored for about 2 to 3 hours by walking. The tour begins from Old Munnar by walking on the way to Lakshmi Tea Estate where you can feel the fresh air with the beauty of green tea plantations with a wide variety of other trees and plants. While walking through the plantations you can see a river flowing and three different temples on the way and also the Chokanad Tea Factory can be seen. Then walking through a narrow way takes you to the CSI Church Munnar, which is more than 100 years old. The Church is always open for visitors. The tour is finish at Munnar CSI Church.
Half-day trekking
The trek will start at the height of 1420 meters MSL (approx), we will start through the tea plantations for about 60 to 90 minutes, after reaching the top of the hill, rest of our couple of hours trek will be on the ridge which offers beautiful views around, it will be through grasslands, one side will be rocky mountain slope and the other side will be tea plantations, patches of Shola forest etc, in a clear sky day we could see the Anamudi “highest peak in Suth India” and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam which listed as highest arch dams in Asia and third tallest dam in India. We will have refreshment, our trek we will be through Nature Zone where we can see some of exotic spices like Coffee, Cardamom etc, Will have another 60 minutes to 01.5 hours walk through the tea plantations to finish the trek, highest point of this trek will be about 1800 meters MSL (approx). The Tour finish at old Munnar, near Munnar town . If you want pick up from your hotel , the charge will be extra.

Full day trekking
The trek will start at the height of 1420 meters MSL (approx), we will start through the tea plantations for about 90 to 120 minutes, After reaching the top of the hill, rest of our couple of hours trek will be on the ridge which offers beautiful views around, it will be through grasslands, one side will be rocky mountain slope and the other side will be tea plantations, patches of Shola forest etc…, in a clear sky day we could see the Anaimudi “highest peak in S. India” and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam which listed as highest arch dams in Asia and third tallest dam in India. We will have refreshment/picnic lunch at any suitable place during the trek, our trek we will be through Nature Zone where we can see some of exotic spices like Coffee, Cardamom, etc…, also its one of the best places to spot some endemic birds of this part of Western Ghats. Will have another 120 to 180 walk through the tea plantations to finish the trek, highest point of this trek will be about 1950 meters MSL (approx)
